Probate
If you have been named in a deceased's Will as a Personal Representative (Executor) it is your duty is to carry out, or execute, what is set out in the Will. This can often only be done after obtaining a Grant of Probate from the Surrogate Court. Not all estates need a Grant of Probate, but most do. If all assets were held jointly, then it may not be required. If the estate is very small then the financial institution may waive the requirement.

Grant of Probate
If you use our services we will provide you with a practical checklist to ensure the estate and documents are in order prior to filing for the Grant of Probate. You may have many questions during this time and with our flat rate billing you don't have to worry about incurring extra costs. We will be happy to guide you through the entire process. Once the application is submitted the Grant it may take up to four months or longer for the Court to provide the Grant of Probate.

Grant of Administration
If you require a Grant of Administration, where the person died without a Will (intestate), then we may be able to assist you obtain the Grant of Administration which is similar to the Grant of Probate, only there is no Will. There is a legal hierarchy as to who may act as the Personal Representative and who are the entitled beneficiaries. Please contact us to find out more information.
